There is also an added benefit in that it provides better server security, and helps to keep your sites safer.

We will be rolling it out one server at a time, to make sure there are no problems.

Common errors:

Internal Server Error
If you get this error, then make sure you do not have any php files or folders with permissions at 777.

Once we change your server to suPHP we will automatically change all your files to 644, and folders to 755, so you do not have to do it yourself.

What you need to do:

Nothing. You should not need to do anything. We will take care of it all. If there is a problem with your site just let us know and we will look into it and fix it.

Just remember that once your server is using suPHP, that your:

File permissions are: 644
Folder permissions are: 755

The benefits. Why make this change?

No need to change file permissions anymore. The default file permissions of 644, and default folder permissions of 755 work fine for almost everything. We are doing this to try and make things easier for our hostees, and provide a better, simpler hosting experience.

Initially, we are only allowing it for sites with over 250 unique hits a day.

In order to help us cover the increased costs, video galleries will need to have two 728×90 banners. One placed above the fold, and the other at the bottom of the page.

The toolbar is as usual, still required.

If you would like to apply for an account to use a video script, please PM me with your desired sub-domain and I will setup your account on the new server.

For example if your domain is: example.com

You may request a sub-domain like: videos.example.com

What’s the criteria?

All current and new hostees will now receive a free domain name.

If you are hosted by StarsZZ, you instantly qualify. No catches. No gimmicks. Just free domain names for all.

New hostees: please click here and search for an available domain name that you would like and write it down in your application.

Current hostees: please click here to search for an available domain and then contact us. We will move your site for you onto the new domain, and setup an automatic redirect from your old site to your new one, so the transition is seamless.

Try to choose a domain that is as relevant as possible to your site or celebrity.

Brand new/Empty domains:
In order to adopt an empty domain name, please send your hosting application as per usual, and put down the domain name you wish to adopt as your Preferred Domain. Kindly make sure to include a fully designed and coded example with most of the site’s pages online.

Domain names with content:

If the domain you wish to adopt comes with content, and you intend to use the current layout for the time being, please put down a current fansite that you run as the working example. You must be the owner of the example fansite, and it must be hosted.
